Sonya Justice believes in giving back to the community. To that end, she has founded the non-profit Foundation for the Advancement of Nursing & Public Health and the TeenForce Youth Wellness Program.
TeenForce Youth Wellness Program
The TeenForce Youth Wellness Program is a skill-building workshop to enhance mental health and well-being in teens. Teens learn self-management, civility, problem-solving, and coping mechanisms to improve peer and parent relationships. The evidence-based CBT program combines classroom learning, mindfulness tools, and kinesthetics in a culturally sensitive and nurturing environment.
Teens will have the opportunity to engage, learn, and grow for a healthier, happier YOU(TH)™.
Foundation for the Advancement of Nursing & Public Health
The Foundation for the Advancement of Nursing & Public Health educates the public on critical health matters by leveraging the knowledge and skills of nurses. At a time when conflicting and oftentimes unreliable health information is readily available to the public, the Foundation for the Advancement of Nursing & Public Health is a credible source of information.
The foundation has strong television outreach through Reel Nurses Television (RNTV), featuring The Reel Nurses Talk Show, The Body GameTM, and more. The foundation embraces diversity, and strives to meet the needs of people with different learning styles and literacy levels through a variety of media — print, digital, web, radio, podcast, television — and in-person community events.
To reach those most in need, the Foundation for the Advancement of Nursing & Public Health partners with other organizations to help underserved communities in the U.S. and around the world.
