I first interviewed [Sonya] on my television show Straighttalk TV – as a “the nurse myth-buster” – after she launched a monthly lifestyle magazine to promote the nursing profession. [Sonya] wowed my audience with her ability to communicate information on COPD in a way anyone could understand. I still remember the balloon she used to demonstrate the difference between lung expansion in healthy lungs and lungs with COPD. It was one of the best shows we had at the time…I think she is a formidable force.
